how i made it! (summary of a real devlog)


development of this boss rush mode:

-I started by setting up the Metroidvania engine to be adaptable to a boss rush. It took me about a week.

-then I imported the game graphics and built the mini-levels and boss rooms. 

-so I created the weapons specifically for the jam and also the spells

-I only corrected the skills to a minimal extent, but I used their original scripts. 

-after about 10 days I finally started building the various bosses. I tried to include 1 or more mechanics for each of them that fit with the theme of the "SPIN" jam. that was probably the most fun part.


-in the last 4 days I have started to fix the bugs

-I added some SFX and OST (but not completely)

-today I managed to add more weapons and a jam timing system that guarantees "final prizes" to the player depending on the time taken to complete the boss round

-soon I would like to add an online ranking system
